We’re just two months away from the return of Emmy-winning series Hacks. Today, Max revealed the first teaser for season 3.
The upcoming season picks up a year after season 2. Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) is riding high off the success of her standup special while Ava (Hannah Einbinder) pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles. But they’re definitely not out of each other’s lives.

In addition to series leads Smart and Einbinder, other confirmed returning cast members include Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, and Lorenza Izzo. Max also recently revealed a number of guest stars for season 3, including Helen Hunt, Christopher Lloyd, and Christina Hendricks.
The series comes from creators and showrunners Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky. Its first two seasons received wide critical praise, taking home a number of awards from the Emmys, SAG, and more.
Season 3 of Hacks will include nine total episodes. It will premiere with two episodes on Thursday, May 2 on Max. Then, two additional episodes will air each week. The season finale will arrive on May 30.
