Even if most of the actors in the film weren’t actually alive for the Y2K scare, the new film Y2K looks to bring those vibes to the big screen. Check out the new trailer for the film from writer/director Kyle Mooney above!
It stars Rachel Zegler, Jaeden Martell, Julian Dennison, and Alicia Silverstone. Y2K releases in theaters on December 6th, 2024. Here’s the synopsis for the film.
Two high school nobodies make the decision to crash the last major celebration before the new millennium on New Year’s Eve 1999. The night becomes even crazier than they could have ever dreamed when the clock strikes midnight.
Y2K was co-written by Kyle Mooney and Evan Winter.
From the looks of it, this could be a new classic in the horror/comedy genre! We’ll have to see when it releases in theaters next month.
