Yes, it’s true. You’ll be able to go to the theater to see all three of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings films in theaters. Fathom Events and Warner Bros. are teaming up to rerelease the films this summer. On top of that, this is the first time that the 2020 4K remasters will be in theaters. The films will screen across three days at participating theaters like AMC, Cinemark, and Regal. The Fellowship of the Ring starts on June 8th, then 2002’s The Two Towers on June 9th, and finishes up with 2003’s The Return of the King on June 10th.

You can grab tickets now at Fathom Events.

In addition to this, Lord of the Rings fans are having an excellent second half of the year with the hopeful release of the second season of The Rings Of Power on Prime Video. Also, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is releasing in winter 2024. That animated film tells the story of Helm Hammerhand, King of Rohan. Its set 250 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings and set in the same universe as Peter Jackson’s films. Miranda Otto is returning to voice Eowyn, that film releases on December 13th.
